Beyond the Noise: The 3 Pillars of My Visual Trading Logic
The Search for Clarity
The market is a chaotic place, especially when you only have a few minutes a day to look at the charts. If you try to follow every indicator or news event, you will quickly lose focus. To survive, I had to develop a simple, visual filter to identify only the highest quality opportunities.
The 3 Pillars of My Setup
I don’t look for “magic” patterns. I look for market logic. My strategy rests on three specific pillars:
- Market Structure: Understanding the trend is the foundation. Is the market truly moving higher, or is this just a trap?
- Liquidity: I need to know where the “fuel” is. Where are the orders sitting that will drive the next big move?
- Fair Value Gaps (FVG): These imbalances act like magnets for price. They tell me where the market is likely to return before continuing its journey.
Why Confluence is Key
A single pillar isn’t enough to trigger a trade. I only get interested when all three align. As I discussed in my post about the discipline of selective trading, waiting for this alignment is what keeps me away from low-quality trades that blow accounts.
Trading with a Clear Mind
Identifying these levels requires focus. This is why my morning routine is so vital. I mark these zones when my mind is fresh, long before the fatigue of my daily shift sets in.
By using this visual logic, I can set my alerts and trust the process. This disciplined approach is exactly how I navigate professional platforms like The5ers. I don’t need to guess; I just need to follow the rules I’ve set for myself.
